Handley Regional Library System announces the following weekly updates and programs to the community:

Shenandoah Valley Archives Fair this Week!

Join us for a virtual Shenandoah Valley Archives Fair which will feature regional Archivists who will be discussing the "State of the Archives" in the time of COVID-19. This panel discussion will include information on site's hours, collections, and much more. A question and answer period will follow. More information on participants to follow.  This is on 10/7 at 11AM on Facebook

October is TeenTober

TeenTober is a new, nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October. It aims to celebrate teens and promote year-round teen services and literacies. Throughout the celebration, libraries highlight the innovative ways theyhelp teens learn new skills and fuel their passions in and out of the library through programs, access to books, and more. Walking Trail at Bowman Library

If you have been to the Bowman Library in recent weeks you probably noticed a lot of earth moving equipment in the parking lot. Frederick County Parks and Recreation has been very busy constructing the new walking trail around Lakeside Lake and we are excited about it!  Officially named the “Bowman Lake Trail” and designed for pedestrian use, the trail is a loop, starting and ending at the Library.  Read more about this project.
