This year’s Back to School Season looks substantially different for countless families. Many are navigating trying times to determine what’s best in getting the most information to make informative decisions for their family.
We want you to know that Handley Regional Library System is HERE for you. Whether your child is homeschooling or attending public or private school and even college, we can help. Are you an educator wanting to make the most of the digital content you are sharing with your students? Are you a caregiver that is new to assisting with at-home instruction? Or, are you a student that is anxious about this new school year? Our librarians have compiled the best library resources to support your Back to School journey.
We have the latest resources for learning at home and a huge digital library to explore. Students can access databases that support both student research and classroom instruction. Some databases also assist in educator lesson planning!
Your library is the best place to get homework help, find your next read, or even take a break! We offer numerous virtual programs on Facebook or Instagram Live and on Zoom. Check the monthly calendar here and plan to join us! If you're "stuck at home" and needing more ideas for what to do, then check out our blog post on dealing with COVID-19.
Of course, ask our knowledgeable library staff any questions as you explore, and they will point you in the right direction.

The American Library Association has compiled great resources through their campaign #LooktoLibraries, where it is encouraged for parents and caregivers to turn to their local library for help navigating tough topics, such as Covid 19, depression, divorce, and grief, to name a few.
