How do I play?

Keep track of all the great materials you have checked out from the Handley Regional Library System between March 1 and March 31 by writing the title in the matching square. Titles may be used only once per card, and only one entry per person.

How do I win?

BINGO: Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line! Turn in your card and you’ll receive $5 in Bingo Book Bucks to be used at the Spring Book Sale. Plus, you will be entered into the drawing for an iPad mini

BLACKOUT: The first 30 people to complete all 25 squares will receive $15 in Book Bucks plus a gift.

How do I submit my card for the prize drawing?

Entries must be received by 5 PM on Saturday, April 1. Submit the front and back of your completed card (with either a bingo or blackout) in only one of the following ways:

  • DROP OFF your card (or a copy) at any branch, OR
  • Place card in an envelope in a BOOK DROP with ATTN: BINGO, OR
  • EMAIL an image of the front and back of your card to bingo@handleyregional.org

Does it matter what format I read?

Nope. Physical materials and downloadable materials from our Digital Library can be used to complete the challenge.

What is the fine print?

  • Only one entry per person. Titles may be used only once per card.
  • Anyone aged 18 and up can play, but you must have an HRLS card in good standing to win.

Complete a Square - Join the Friends!

Friends of Handley Regional Library System, a library support group, began in 1977 with informal groups of people who joined together to provide specific services for the library. Friends' volunteers staffed the children’s area and offer programs for young people and adults. In 1979 the Handley Library addition opened, providing a large and wonderful Children’s Room with a full-time children’s librarian. The Friends continued to help in planning and producing a wide range of workshops and activities for children.

Today the Friends enrich all the services of the regional library system. The Friends organization serves an ever-expanding Handley Regional Library System, including Handley Library in Winchester, Bowman Library in Stephens City, and Clarke County Library in Berryville. Join the Friends in the following goals:

  • to support the Handley Regional Library System and assist its staff
  • to encourage reading and the use of the Library
  • to attract community resources to support programming
  • to involve the entire community in Library and Friends programs
