Summer is the perfect time to dive into new books, and our Adult Summer Reading Program (ASRP) is here to make your reading even more rewarding! Here are five compelling reasons to join the fun this summer:

Who doesn't love winning prizes? For each reading log you complete, you'll be entered into a drawing for a three-month Book of the Month Club subscription. The more logs you submit, the higher your chances of winning! Plus, there's a grand prize of a 12-month subscription up for grabs at the end of the summer. Imagine a whole year of curated book selections just for you!
2. Earn Book Bucks
Every completed reading log earns you five Book Bucks. These can be used to purchase used books at any of our library branches or at The Friends' Fall used book sale in October. You can earn up to $25 in Book Bucks, making it a fantastic way to build your personal library for less.
3. No Registration Required
Getting started with the ASRP is hassle-free. There's no need to register—just start reading! Pick up your reading logs from any library branch or download them online. Fill them out as you go, and submit them whenever you're ready.
4. All Formats Count
Whether you prefer traditional books, eBooks, or audiobooks, they all count toward your reading logs. This means you can enjoy your favorite genres and authors in whatever format suits your lifestyle, making it easier than ever to participate.
5. Support Your Local Library
Participating in the ASRP helps support our local libraries. The program encourages community engagement and helps fund library initiatives. Plus, using your Book Bucks at the Friends of HRLS book sale or in our library gift shops further supports our services.
