The Handley Regional Library System is excited to announce the "Rally for Reading" kickoff event for the 2024 Summer Reading Program, with the theme "Adventure Begins at Your Library." There are adventures to be had and unique celebrations at all three branches!
Handley Library will kick off the season with its event on Saturday, May 25, from 11 AM to 1 PM, with fun activities in the Reading Garden - Kona ice, a Drew Blue Shoes magic show, and a food drive for Bright Futures.
The Bowman Library event will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, with Pack 363 serving up hamburgers, hotdogs and snow cones. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy various fun activities, including balloon animals with Uncle Bean, music, crafts, puppets, local authors, and more!
Clarke County Library will have its event on Saturday, June 8, from 11 AM to 1 PM, in Chet Hobert Park, with a bouncy house, face painting and glitter tattoos, and a Drew Blue Shoes magic show.
Come to all the celebration events! The Summer Reading Program is designed to encourage individuals of all ages to read and learn throughout the summer months. Through a variety of reading challenges, events, and activities, the program aims to promote literacy, imagination, and community engagement.
