It's a New Year, and a perfectly good new time to learn about the Handley Regional Library System Digital Library! We are kicking off 2022 with our continued monthly series called "Database Spotlights" where we will highlight one of our databases, specifically focusing on youth and families. Do you want support when it comes to Homework Help? Are you looking to build your research skills? Let us share the wonders of our Digital Library with you and your family! Learn about some of our online databases that you can access for free with your library card.
Newly integrated into the HRLS Catalog from the Digital Library, "NoveList K-8 Plus", is a resourceful, reader's advisory database that is geared toward students in Grades K-8. This database is free to access in order for readers to find their next great read. NoveList is a comprehensive reading resource for fiction and nonfiction. With a fun and intuitive interface, and extensive proprietary content, NoveList K-8 Plus will help you integrate reading across the curriculum and support your young readers. With a home page that is organized by Recommend Read Lists in age groups, Quick Links, and Award Winners, users are able to search the site based on what they want or need. More advance search options are available, too. A favorite feature is that NoveList is accessible through the HRLS Catalog. Watch the spotlight video below to learn more!
Educators can benefit from this public library database by taking advantage of the creative reading lists that can support struggling student readers or curious, growing readers to find their next read. Feel free to ask your local librarian for more assistance or suggestions on how to get the most out of your NoveList experience.
