Leap Year Poem
Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting February alone,
And that has twenty-eight days clear
And twenty-nine in each leap year.
Happy Leap Year!
Some months have just 30 days;
The rest have 31.
But one month has a neat surprise!
In fact, it’s kind of fun!
The days of February number only 28,
But add one more for leap year,
And we get to celebrate!
Jack Be Nimble
Jack be nimble, (Bounce or hop to rhythm)
Jack be quick,
Jack jump over (Pick up baby or jump up)
The candlestick.
Hop With Me

Hop, hop, hop along
Or bounce on someone’s knee

Bunny-hop with me!
Baby Bounce
Baby bounces high;
(Older children jump; babies bounce on knee.)
Baby bounces low;

Baby blinks his eyes;
(Blink eyes as you point to them)
Baby waves good-bye.
