Meet the author of Wizard Clip Haunting: A True Early American Ghost Story - an historical novel about the colorful characters and mysterious events at the Adam Livingston farm in 1797 Middleway, WV. Dr. Stan Williams will talk about his ten-year journey researching and writing about the events that formed much of the values and culture of that area.

When America was young, reckless, and fiercely independent, an equally independent farmer and a renegade priest reluctantly join forces to confront a spirit from another realm who threatens their safety and the country's freedom. Flax farmer, Adam Livingston, and pioneering Irish priest Fr. Denis Cahill struggle to accept each other, then together battle their common enemy, an ancient Babylonian spirit who wreaks havoc on Livingston, his family, and farm. A host of historical figures make their appearance in this dramatic celebration of traditional American values and themes.

Stan Williams is a writer and filmmaker, based in Michigan with occasional forays to Los Angeles and Europe. He's known as a story and screenplay consultant. The Wizard Clip story came to him from an ex-pat Filipino and emigrant to Australia who thought the Wizard Clip would make a good movie. Stan agreed, but figured he better write the book first. Stan holds degrees in Physics (BA), Mass Communications (MA), and Film Studies/Narrative Theory (PhD).
