Later in the Library is a FREE after hours event to kick off our 2019 Adult Summer Reading Program - It’s Showtime at Your Library! 

Later in the Library will include a reading-themed educational Beer Tasting with presentation by Kevin Eckles of The Better Beer Store. Beers will be based on “Books to Screen” titles including Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Silence of the Lambs, Stand By Me, and Fight Club.

The library will also be holding two Behind-The-Scenes Library Tours where attendees will learn the ins and outs of our historic Handley Library building. Tours will be held at 7 PM and 7:45 PM.

If you would like to attend a Beer Tasting and/or Library Tour, check back here on May 1st to sign up for your free tickets through EventBrite.

Please select one Beer Tasting and one Library Tour (both are optional). Later in the Library will be open to all, but you must be 21 or older to participate in a Beer Tasting.

Other activities to open to all include:

  • Live music by SV JAZZ.
  • Magician/Mentalist J. Edward Ford will be on hand, performing his unique brand of astounding Magic and Mischief.
  • Light Refreshments
  • Browse and Borrow - Check out any materials (books, DVDs, CDs, Magazines, Audiobooks, etc.) located on the main floor of the Library.
  • Register for Summer Reading and get your first Reading Log

Program hours are 7PM to 9PM. Doors open at 6:30PM. Participants are encouraged to come early and stay to enjoy the music, tours, and illusionist!

Beer Tasting participants will sign up for a specific seating time and should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before their program time. Please register for the seating time which best meets your needs; 7PM Tasting, 7:45PM Tasting or 8:30PM Tasting.
