Celebrate your library leading up to National Library Week by making a marshmallow Peeps diorama showcasing your favorite book! All ages.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Register open now until April 5! Register as an individual or on behalf of a group.
- March 10-April 5: Once you receive a confirmation email, stop by an Information Desk at Handley Library depending on your age- Adults/Teens: pick up on 1st floor / Youth and Family: pick up on 2nd floor. All kits include a set of 5 Peeps, a round or rectangle cake board, and an icing decorating tip set.
- Build your diorama at home using the kit (and anything else at home) that features your favorite book.
- By April 5: Bring your finished diorama to an Information Desk (Adults and Teens: 1st floor / Youth and Family: 2nd floor) for display and voting.
- April 7-12: Everyone can vote for your favorite dioramas, including Best in Class (for each age category: 6-11, 12-17, Adult, or Family).
- Week of April 14: Winners announced on social media and via email. Pick up your diorama by this time or else they will be eaten!
CONTEST RULES:
- Limit one (1) submission per individual/team contestant.
- Peeps must feature prominently in your diorama.
- Submissions must be related to a favorite book--title/scene/characters, etc.
- Contestants must use all the given materials in the kit--at least 3 Peeps, a cake board, and use of icing decorations.
