Library Closures – Apple Blossom & Carpet Installation

All Handley Regional Library System branches will be closed Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3 for the Apple Blossom Festival.

Bowman Library only will also be closed Thursday, May 1 for carpet installation. Handley Library and Clarke County Library will remain open on May 1.

Puzzle Tournament

Are you ready for a FUN challenge? Come be a part of Bowman Library's next Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament!

Teams of 2-4 people compete to finish the same 500 piece puzzle. The team that finishes in the least amount of time gets a medal and all the bragging rights!

Here is how it works:

  1. Form a team of 2-4 players. Each team must include at least one adult.
  2. Only one person needs to make the reservation for your team.
  3. Create a team name! 
  4. Registration opens on August 1, 2025. You can register online, in person, or by phone at 540-869-9000 ext. 203 to register with a staff person. Space is limited to 10 teams, so register early!
  5.  Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the event to get any last minute instructions.
  6. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us to allow space for other teams from the waiting list.
