If so, join us for an author talk.  Our speaker is Stephanie Gardner, author of Rattlesnake Granny: Nancy Remembers Life in Old Thornton Gap, Inspired by True Stories.  In this historical fiction, meet Nancy Pullum, a mountaineer rattlesnake catcher living in the Thornton Gap area.  Nancy made her living catching rattlesnakes and then selling their oil as a medicinal treatment.  Follow Nancy’s story as she navigates life living in a region where Shenandoah National Park is today.  Learn about the people of the area and their relationship with each other, the wildlife, and the land.
