Program Description
Event Details
Shenandoah University Conservatory's Dance Division will present a collection of solos that will showcase original dance compositions created by members of the dance class of 2022. In preparation for each solo, each choreographer will interview someone who is culturally different from himself/herself (i.e. race, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, social class, sexual orientation, faith, or ableness). Choreographers will then create a movement material based on the interview data and structure them into a cohesive meaningful dance reflecting and honoring the individuals they interviewed. This concert celebrates diversity and inclusion.
