BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: The Winchester Apple Capital Chorus was founded in 1961 as the local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society which was originally called the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, is a non-profit organization that began in 1938. All of the chapters in the society put on performances on a regular basis and donates all of the proceeds to charity.
