Biographical/Historical:  David L. Baughman was born in Hardy County, WV. When he was very young, his family moved to Winchester where he graduated from high school in 1942. He was employed as an engineer for 40 years, and during that time was granted several patents. His life-long pastime was woodworking, and this collection includes pictures and stories of his creations from 1947-2006. In 1986, after his retirement, he researched, complied, and published “The Baughmans of Baughman Settlement, Hardy County, WV”. The manuscript engaged him for 10 years.
