Scope and Content: This collection is comprised of programs, by-laws, correspondence, membership rosters, minutes, newsletters, articles, and other materials concerning the Coalition for Racial Unity (CRU).

Biographical/Historical: The Coalition for Racial Unity started in 1990 with the purpose of promoting understanding and bettering interracial relationships. The first event was the Race Unity Day Picnic on June 10, 1990, and the Coalition has since hosted many events including prayer vigils, jazz festivals, workshops, study groups, and fundraisers.  The Coalition for Racial Unity is no longer active.
