All Handley Regional Library System branches will be closed Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3 for the Apple Blossom Festival.

Bowman Library only will also be closed Thursday, May 1 for carpet installation. Handley Library and Clarke County Library will remain open on May 1.

SCOPE AND CONTENT: The Armstead Dixon Collection contains family Bible records, correspondence, and ephemera from the family of Armstead Dixon.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Armstead Dixon was from Shenandoah County, Virginia. On Nov. 24, 1864, he married Sidney Ann Brandon of Mississippi. Dixon died on July 25, 1907.
