SCOPE AND CONTENT: The James Finley Collection contains a scrapbook compiled by Meta Jackson Parker and donated by her grandson, James Finley. It contains a number of photographs and news clippings about World War II and local events and people in Winchester’s African American community. There is also a Sunday school verse card, a postcard, and report cards. The bulk of the material is from the 1940s and 1950s.
Abstracts of the obituaries in the scrapbook have been compiled by Judy Humbert, April 2020.
