SCOPE AND CONTENT: The Conrad Kremer Account Book is a merchant ledger spanning the years 1812 to 1835. Kremer sold a variety of items in his store. The account book lists a number of Winchester residents as his customers, including John Kerr, Thomas Hollingsworth, and Peter Lauck.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Little is known about Robert Kremer but records do show that from about 1822 to 1830 he served as a “constable” or “justice of the peace” for Winchester, serving warrants and collecting fees.
