SCOPE AND CONTENT: The Media Collection contains a variety of audio-visual materials covering local history, community events and local cable programs in Winchester and Frederick County, Virginia. The collection also includes recordings of local musicians and orchestras, as well as commercially produced recordings featuring local history of events.

EXISTENCE AND LOCATION OF COPIES: The audio-visual materials in this collection were created in a variety of original formats including reel-to-reel, DVD, VHS and other videocassette types. To maintain accessibility and viability of materials, most have been converted to digital files. The existence and location of copies, if still held by the Archives, will be noted below.
