SCOPE & CONTENT:  The Deanna Dill Martin Collection contains records belonging to Lawrence Frederick Shine of Winchester, Virginia. Mr. Shine was born in Winchester on January 21, 1923 and graduated from Handley High School in 1941. He was a veteran of World War II. The collection includes military records, personal records, and correspondence written while he was stationed in Europe during the War.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Deanna Dill Martin is a resident of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
