SCOPE AND CONTENT: The Donald J. Martin Collection contains county records including wills, deeds, and land records for Culpeper, Essex, King, and Queen Counties. The Collection also includes genealogical records for a number of Virginia families, such as deeds, court records, genealogical charts, patents, and some early Colonial wills. The bulk of the material concerns the Roberts family, but there are also items related to the Dulaney-Furlong, Menefee-James, Russell, Sims-Butler, and Tucker-Scott families.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Dr. Donald J. Martin of Louisiana is the compiler of this collection.
