Scope and Content: The John Parrish Journals contains abstracts of birth, death, and marriage records covering 1875-1911. He noted events of the families in his neighborhood in Parrishville, VA. Ben Ritter prepared the abstracts in 1999.

Biographical/Historical: John Parrish, son of Daniel and Mary Kerns Parrish, was born Dec. 16, 1856 and died Oct. 27, 1932. He was a farmer and merchant located between Gore, VA and the West Virginia/Virginia line at Parrishville, VA.
