EXISTENCE AND LOCATION OF COPIES: The Genealogical Society of Utah digitized selected materials from this collection in 2007 [HD GSU-001/002-01, 003-01, 003-08, 004-04]

SCOPE AND CONTENT: The Nathan Williamson Collection contains family Bible records from the Bowers, Diefendorfer, Wilson, and Wood families, as well as the descendent chart Robert Livingston. Also included in this collection is the One Hundredth Anniversary Commemorative of the Church of Christ of Augusta, West Virginia and membership directories of the Church of Christ of Winchester, Virginia.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: The Church of Christ of Augusta, West Virginia was established on May 30th, 1880 with fifteen members. The pastor was Jacob Waters. Many current members of the church are descendants of the original congregants.

Nathan Williamson was a pastor of church in Pine Grove, West Virginia until January 3rd, 1944, when he accepted a position as pastor of the Church of Christ in Winchester, Virginia. He retired in November 1980. The Church of Christ became known as the Church of Christ at Mountain View in May of 1984.
