Ready to Read: Robots Rule!

Beep - Bop - Boop… Are you ready to read this week? We’re going to have some fun with some robots, because everyone knows, Robots Rule!

If you click the search bar above and type the tag: #robotsrule, you’ll find a lot of fun books to share, like the ones below!

Stop! Bot! by James Yang: When a little boy stops to show a building doorman his new "bot," it floats up out of his hands and the kind doorman runs up to each floor of the building to try and catch it, with help from the building's residents.

My Teacher is a Robot by Jeffrey Brown: Fred is bored at school and is sure his teacher is a robot, as he helps his classmates see their lessons in a new, imaginative way.

Beep and Bah by James Burks: A robot who hungers for adventure and a goat who wants to avoid trouble set out to find the missing mate to a single sock.

Beep! Beep! Go to Sleep! by Todd Tarpley: When his three rambunctious robots give every possible excuse not to go to sleep, what's a little boy to do?

R is for Robot by Adam F. Watkins: Introduces the letters and their sounds through a group of robots who attempt to build the alphabet.

Clink by Kelly DiPucchio: While newer, fancier robots are quickly purchased, Clink, an old-fashioned robot who can only make toast and music, gathers dust and feels downhearted until a young boy enters the shop looking for something special.

Don't forget to download your coloring page with some songs that will help you move just like a robot!

I'm a Little Robot

(Tune: I’m a Little Teapot)
I’m a little robot, short and strong,
Here are my handles, just turn me on.
(put fists on hips for handles, then push a
sticker “button” or belly button)
When I get all warmed up, watch me go.
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.
(march in place fast and then slow)

Robot, Robot

(Tune: Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear)

Robot, robot, turn around.
Robot, robot, touch the ground.
Robot, robot, turn left and right.
Robot, robot, flash your lights.
Robot, robot, bloop and bleep.
Robot, robot, go to sleep.
