Shenandoah University Conservatory's Dance Division to Showcase at Handley Library

Handley Regional Library System and Shenandoah University Conservatory's Dance Division will present a collection of solos that will showcase original dance compositions created by members of the dance class of 2022. Free and open to the public, the performance will be at Handley Library at 3PM on October 1st. This concert celebrates diversity and inclusion.

In preparation for each solo, each choreographer will interview someone who is culturally different from himself/herself in different areas include race, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, social class, and more. Choreographers will then create a movement material based on the interview data and structure them into a cohesive meaningful dance reflecting and honoring the individuals they interviewed.
