Handley Regional Library System continues the popular Groundhog Day Celebration on February 2nd at 11AM on the library system’s Facebook and YouTube accounts @handleyregional. The program features “Tiva”, a real groundhog from Valley Wildlife Care, a local rescue and rehabilitation organization, and an interactive puppet show with “Bowman Bill”, a special guest groundhog puppet. Attendees will learn about the life and habitat of a groundhog, protecting wildlife, hibernation, and more. The library fun will continue with a special Kid Crafternoons program at 2PM o
We’re very happy to announce that our After-Hours Game Nights for adults are making a comeback. By teaming up with Discord and the online gaming platform Board Game Arena, we can come together while still keeping our distance. We’ve really missed seeing you all at Game Nights this past year, so we hope you’ll join us again online.

We would like to give a huge thank you to Mike Robinson, Winchester Tales, and everyone involved! This is an example of a community coming together to preserve a piece of its heritage.

To us at the Stewart Bell, Jr. Archives, these are words to live by. We do not seek to manipulate the historical data entrusted to us, but rather to present an accurate picture of the people and events of our community. We members of the community are a multi-faceted bunch, each shaped by the past in ways unique to the individual; this is the legacy preserved in the archives.
